One tango.

Common questions.

Do I need to install anything?

Not for Tangofy Web: it opens in your browser and, if you wish to have it as an app, in Chrome or Edge just choose “Install” from the browser menu. Tangofy Desktop is the complete app for Windows: get it from the Download page. In the browser, sending the pre‑listen to a separate headphone output needs Chrome or Edge.

Is my music uploaded online?

No. Your audio files stay on your computer and Tangofy reads them from there. With an account, only projects, playlists and settings go online: never the audio.

Does it work with Spotify?

Yes. You can search and import tracks from Spotify and mix them with your own files in the same library. Playing them in full requires Spotify Premium.

Which audio formats are supported?

MP3, M4A, AAC, FLAC, WAV and OGG. From MP3, M4A and FLAC Tangofy reads title, orchestra, year and cover art; for the others it uses the file name, which you can fix any time.

What are tandas and cortinas?

A tanda is a set of 3 or 4 tracks of the same genre (tango, vals or milonga), usually by the same orchestra. Between tandas a cortina plays: a short break that clears the floor so dancers can change partners.

How much does it cost?

Tangofy Web is free, with a few ads. Tangofy Desktop and removing the ads unlock with one-time packages, tied to your account and yours for good: no subscription.
